ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to work on a 12-month contract based out of Edinburgh. As The Embedded Software Engineer you'll be working on a next-generation European Common Radar System

Responsibilities:
* A good understanding of electronics, schematic design and use of test equipment
* A solid grasp of Embedded C and C++
* Experience with various communication protocols - (I2C, SPI, USB, Serial, Network, PCIe)
* Experience developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
* Experience of Agile development and Atlassian toolset
* Familiarity with configuration management tools, defect tracking and peer review
* Requirements management tools
* Understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT)

Experience required:
* Hold a relevant qualification in computer engineering or equivalent
* Knowledge of standards such as DO-178C and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++
* Experience in the use of RTOSs such as VxWorks or embedded Linux
* Experience in testing and integrating software with firmware (VHDL/Verilog) and hardware
* Experience developing solutions for ARM and Intel-based multicore processing platforms
* Strong low-level embedded C programming skills
* Be eligible to obtain Sc Level security clearance
