We are searching for an Engineering Manager in Hampshire for one of our aerospace clients. The clients are an R&D firm that designs and manufactures aeronautical components. They are a global leader in the production, design, and supply of engineered aerospace components, systems, and subsystems.

The Job

The Engineering Manager plays an important role on team. In charge of representing design activities such as Innovation, NPI, Sustaining Engineering, PMO, and Test & Qualification. This role necessitates a mix of direct BU-specific activities and project management (lifecycle accountability for all product local development/NPI) as well as management of design efforts related to agreed-upon OU projects. The BU Engineering Manager is expected to collaborate with Managers and the VP Engineering to propose projects for the and OU, as well as create, implement, and execute advancements that support the Manager's budgets and strategy. The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing assistance to the and as needed and outlined within the budget and the plan.

Main Responsibilities

At the level, responsible for representing design and project management activities such as Bids, Innovation, NPI, Sustaining Engineering, PMO, and Test & Qualification.
The Engineering Manager must collaborate with the Manager to offer business ideas and define, implement, and execute advancements that support the organisation's budget and plan.
Serve as the focal point for technical conversations with customers under the guidance of Sales and/or Business Development to solve problems or contribute to technological road mapping.
You will deal with suppliers during procurement/purchasing and/or logistic requests to understand the supplier's technological roadmaps in order to establish an environment capable of enhancing design capabilities via the use of outside talents and data collecting.

Requirements

  • Experience in aerospace is required
  • Experience in mechanical design
