ARM has partnered with an Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Technician to work on maintaining their Plant & Equipment based out of their manufacturing site based in Stevenage. As the Mechanical & Electrical Technician you'll be responsible for ensuring industrial tools and machinery are properly maintained as well as responding to reports of broken or faulty items, and conducting inspections of machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Required to escort non-permanent service providers around the site.
* Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written (internally and externally)
* Provide first-line diagnostics and interface via phone or email to service providers/contractors.
* Effective liaison with operations managers and facility management to resolve difficulties and inquiries.
* Supporting G.S.E preparation and Pre-use checks.
* Carrying out basic maintenance such as Belt replacement/Bearing replacement/Castor replacement/Castor brake replacement or adjustment/Lubrication where appropriate in line with product contamination constraints.
* An awareness of safety issues associated with Mechanical Handling Equipment.
* To carry out monthly EHS audit action tracker follow-ups.
* Run reports for L.O.L.E.R defects and P.N.A-supporting re-certifications action plans.
* Able to organise and manage own workload.
* The ability to understand and use company systems and software.
* Suggest process improvements considering business benefits.
Experience required:
* Strong level of understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
* A good understanding of operational and maintenance procedures
* Competent in using handling equipment (e.g. Electric fork trucks/Tugs/Cherry pickers/MEWPS).
* Proficient in working with Microsoft Office software and Google Tools.
* Required to successfully attain Baseline security DBS clearance.
* Evidence of achieved qualification and experience within the maintenance engineering field.
