Advanced Resource Managers are hiring for a Senior Financial Accountant to join one of their delivery clients on 12 month FTC.
The purpose of this role is to assist in the production of accurate and timely year end and half year Group (consolidated) Financial Statements and Financial Statements for the subsidiaries and Regulated business.
Responsibilities:
* To assist in the production of accurate and timely year end and half year Group Financial Statements
* To provide technical accounting guidance across the business including any developments in new standards.
* To ensure the integrity of the IFRS 16 (leases) accounting
* Supervision and support in the preparation of the scorecard cashflow and balance sheet along with working capital analysis and commentary.
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparation of internal financial analysis for key stakeholders
* Co-ordination of the Financial Accounting Schedules process and additional information requests
* Lead on the tagging of the Financial Statements in line with ESEF requirements.
* Key liaison for the external auditor throughout the audit process.
* Supporting the Property Asset Data Team in ensuring that property and fleet leases are accurately recorded in Lease Accounting System.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Strong excel skills (vlookups, pivots etc), knowledge of SAP also an advantage, an appetite to learn new tools such as Alteryx and the Lease Accounting System
* Be able to manage and prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative
* Strong interpersonal skills - you will need to be able to communicate complex accounting concepts
* Analytical and problem-solving capability
* A continuous improvement mindset - a desire to improve processes and make efficiencies
* Up-to-date knowledge of international accounting standards
