ARM are delighted to be working with a community based social housing provider operating in the West of England.
The right candidate will deliver a high-quality Financial Reporting service to customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements.
* Lead the external financial audit.
* Responsible for the annual financial reporting obligations.
* Ensuring all statutory, regulatory, and legally required returns are completed and submitted.
* Responsible for ongoing monitoring and benchmarking of Value for Money metrics.
* Lead and develop effective benchmarking activities.
* Responsible for the accounting treatment of investment properties.
* Provide technical advice and guidance across the business, providing information to enable strategic decision making.
* Management of the accounting policies, including advising Senior Leadership Team and the Audit and Risk.
* Management of VAT, Tax and CIS activities, including the preparation and submission of all tax returns.
* Management of Purchase to Pay activities, ensuring payments to suppliers are timely and accurate.
Requirements:
* A qualified CCAB accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS) with 2 years post qualification experience.
* Experience of leading a year-end financial audit, and have a strong understanding of the audit process.
* Demonstrable experience of preparing consolidated financial statements.
* Advanced level Excel skills.
* Experience of designing and implementing financial controls.
* Be able to understand and interpret data.
* Be proactive in finding solutions to problems and issues.
* Good working knowledge of IT, competent with Microsoft Office packages.
* Good team management skills in an agile working environment.
* Evidence of continuing professional development
