National Apprenticeship Week is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, business and the wider economy.
Over the last few years, the Serocor Group (encompassing ARM, Optamor, Bloc and Hawker Chase) has fully endorsed Apprenticeship qualifications; we have supported 15 employees through the sales, business admin and marketing qualifications.
Derek Goff, Learning and Development Manager for the Group, is qualified as an Assessor to further support our learners in the workplace:
“I was personally involved in the forum to create the current Recruitment Apprenticeship and since its launch I have been involved in the development level 2 Resourcers qualification”.
In the last few weeks we have engaged with Learn Direct to enrol 5 learners onto the new Level 3 Recruitment Apprenticeship. We firmly believe that having an industry relevant framework of vocational competency and knowledge based assessment will both empower our staff to higher levels of success, whilst improving the service delivery to our customers, whilst at the same time professionalising the industry to standards not previously achieved.
Henry Sweetman, Junior Account Consultant at ARM comments:
“I have only been working within the recruitment industry since starting the Apprenticeship in October and since then have been offered a great opportunity to progress my learning to develop my career. I have learnt so much during this time and know exactly what steps I need to make to complete this course and get the level of qualification I deserve. Completing this qualification will enable me to make a mark on the recruitment industry and progress within ARM. The support they have provided me has been fantastic.”
