Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Superintendent to join our operations in the Middle East, based in Sharjah, UAE. In this role, you will oversee the technical operation, maintenance, and docking of vessels, ensuring high-quality standards and service continuity. You will collaborate with international crews, traveling regularly across the region to support various operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise vessel maintenance and repairs.
• Plan and oversee inspections, dockings, and technical/financial reporting.
• Serve as the first point of contact for technical issues or defects.
• Provide technical guidance to Chief Engineers and monitor progress via PM systems.
• Analyse defects and implement preventive and corrective measures.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory tracking.
• Liaise with suppliers, classification societies, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the upkeep of certificates and technical documentation.
• Handle damage reports and claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Maritime, or Naval Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience in a similar role or as a Chief Engineer.
• International experience, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing priorities.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages like Arabic are advantageous.
