Rate: 500-550 GBP
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP/DS Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation and ongoing support of advanced production planning and detailed scheduling solutions. You will work closely with production planners, business stakeholders and IT teams to optimise planning, capacity utilisation and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SAP PP/DS BAU support, configuration and process optimisation.
- Analyse business requirements and design solutions covering production planning, capacity planning, sequencing and detailed scheduling.
- Configure PP/DS master data including planning versions, PDS, resources, modes and heuristics.
- Design and configure heuristics, planning strategies, optimisation profiles and pegging strategies.
- Support capacity planning, finite scheduling, order sequencing and planning scenarios.
- Configure and support the DS Planning Board, Alert Monitor, CIF integration and custom planning rules.
- Integrate PP/DS with SAP PP, MM, SD, APO migration scenarios, and external MES/production automation systems.
- Troubleshoot PP/DS issues, perform root-cause analysis and ensure system stability, CIF consistency and planning performance.
- Support unit testing, integration testing, UAT, cutover and go-live activities.
- Produce functional specifications, SOPs and process documentation, and provide end-user training and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with production planners, business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver effective planning and scheduling solutions.
Essential Experience
- Proven hands-on SAP PP/DS experience.
- Strong understanding of production planning, MRP and detailed scheduling.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA PP/DS implementation, configuration and production support.
- Strong knowledge of CIF, IDocs, queues and Fiori applications.
- Experience with PP/DS master data, heuristics, capacity planning and scheduling processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and IT teams.
