Property Housing Officer in Waltham Forest, London

PermanentOur client is currently looking to recruit a Property Housing Officer to join their team in the London (E4) area.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping tenants to understand their rights according to government legislation
- Providing correct information to tenants regarding re-housing, benefits, or any other relevant tenancy issues
- Assisting with legal matters surrounding non-payment of rent
- Developing policies to reduce tenant arrears
- Attending court hearings with cases that they have prepared
- Keeping records, reports, and other admin related to their duties
Skills/Qualifications
- Helping to develop local authority policies
- A good understanding of UK law, and the ability to work within it
- Research skills and attention to detail
- Solving sensitive tenant issues and dealing with unpaid rent
- Good conflict management skills
- A combination of interpersonal skills combined with steadiness and analytical skill
