Property Housing Officer in Waltham Forest, London

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Property Housing Officer to join their team in the London (E4) area.

Key Responsibilities

• Helping tenants to understand their rights according to government legislation
• Providing correct information to tenants regarding re-housing, benefits, or any other relevant tenancy issues
• Assisting with legal matters surrounding non-payment of rent
• Developing policies to reduce tenant arrears
• Attending court hearings with cases that they have prepared
• Keeping records, reports, and other admin related to their duties

Skills/Qualifications

• Helping to develop local authority policies
• A good understanding of UK law, and the ability to work within it
• Research skills and attention to detail
• Solving sensitive tenant issues and dealing with unpaid rent
• Good conflict management skills
• A combination of interpersonal skills combined with steadiness and analytical skill
