Prinicpal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Winchester, Hampshire

At ARM, we are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to work on a permanent basis for a leading client within the Nuclear Manufacturing and Engineering industry.

Key responsibilities:
* Providing the day-to-day management of the technical aspects of allocated projects working with a team of engineers or as an individual.
* Carrying out the peer review of concept designs, 3D CAD scheme designs, detailed manufacturing drawings and design substantiation by hand calculations.
* Providing substantiation (by hand calculation) of engineering designs.
* Providing the production of concept designs, full 3D scheme design and 2D detail design for manufacture within SolidWorks all within the required timescales
* Understanding of GDPR/data protection legislation procedures and requirements in a highly regulated environment.
* Being responsible for your own workplace safety. To demonstrate commitment to health and safety; ensure all statutory obligations are met and the safety of staff, clients and visitors are in line with the UK and European standards

Requirements we need:
* Degree qualified within a relevant subject
* Experience working within the Nuclear or Defence industry
* Live SC clearance or the ability to obtain live SC clearance
