Our client is a world renowned shipping company who is current seeking a Marine Superintendent to join their team in Denmark. They are currently looking for an outspoken Marine Superintendent to join their friendly team and become a part of their their globally recognised success.

ABOUT THE JOB
Joining the shore team as a Marine Superintendent, your focus will be on ensuring compliance with the Company SMS; including all laws and rules for specific vessels within the fleet. Your aim is to strive towards HSEQ excellence in line with the company's procedures and strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Being a Marine Superintendent within out team, your role is to maintain and update company SMS in order to fulfil the needs and expectations within the industry. You will also contribute towards Safety Meetings and respond to the master's quarterly reviews. You will be required to monitor and report on near misses, incidents as well as nonconformity. You will also obtain and provide data required for the quarterly management reviews.

In addition, your role will include to:
* Lead a good safety culture on board of the vessels
* Plan, execute and maintain internal as well external ISM/ISPS/MLC audits
* Investigate incidents and accidents
* Find the root cause, organize preventive measures, and follow up on any lessons learnt
* Educate the rest of the organization and external bodies on the lessons learnt
* Commit to keeping all certificates up to date
* Make sure that the vessels are ready for vetting inspections as well as report on observations
* Conduct to PSC, FSI as well as USCG COC inspections
* Become a part of the internal contingency team
* Support the development and maintenance of emergency procedures
* Support the development and maintenance of emergency exercises and drills.

YOUR BACKGROUND
At this role, your workday will be varied, therefore it is important that you are an organized professional with a structured approach. You are always willing to take on new challenges and work within a fast-paced environment; as well as always be keen to support the team.

About you:
* Sailing experience on chemical tankers at a senior rank position such as Chief Officer, Master Mariner
* Experience from a similar position is preferred and prioritized.
* Are an adaptive professional who is flexible in his way of working
* Have an eye for detail and are solution motivated
* Have a commercial knowledge and interest
* Are a team player with good communicational skills
* Can speak and write in English fluently

You will be required to commit to 2-3 vessel inspections per quarter.
