Health & Safety Advisor in Ealing, London

Our client is currently looking to recruit a competent Health & Safety Advisor to aid in the development, implementation, promotion, review and monitoring of their Health and Safety Management System, associated policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide a competent, pragmatic, professional health and safety advisory and support service to services and monitor compliance through audits and inspections.
• To aid in the development, implementation, promotion, review and monitoring of the Health and Safety Management System, associated policies and procedures
• Provide relevant assistance and guidance to managers to ensure that contractors are suitably procured, monitored and evaluated.
• To assist managers to investigate all relevant accidents/dangerous occurrences, as well as where appropriate undertaking more detailed investigations.
• Provide advice and guidance to control all high-risk activities, e.g. asbestos, legionella, confined spaces, hot works, working at height

Skills/Qualifications:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in H&S
• NEBOSH H&S Diploma or equivalent (desired)
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (desired).
• IOSH membership of at least Tech IOSH level
• Proficient in the development and use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
• Experience of running in-house training sessions
• Knowledge of construction related health and safety standards.
• Good understanding of the legal and best practice framework for the management of fire and asbestos in both commercial and domestic properties
