About the Role:
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Head of Business Development to spearhead growth initiatives within the oil and petrochemical trading sector in Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for a visionary leader with a strong techno-commercial background, extensive industry connections, and a proven ability to identify and develop profitable business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding market presence, building partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for oil and petrochemical trading in Saudi Arabia.

Identify new markets, investment opportunities, and growth areas within the industry.

Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including national and international oil companies (NOCs & IOCs), refiners, petrochemical producers, traders, and regulatory bodies.

Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory developments to identify and act on profitable trading opportunities.

Lead negotiations and structure commercial agreements, including supply contracts, trading deals, and joint ventures.

Collaborate with internal teams-trading, operations, legal, and finance-to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.

Assess and mitigate risks associated with new ventures while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards.

Conduct market intelligence and stay updated on technological advancements and evolving industry standards to maintain a competitive edge.
Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development within the oil and petrochemical trading sector.

Strong techno-commercial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and securing profitable deals.

Extensive network within the petroleum sector, including refineries, producers, traders, and regulatory entities in Saudi Arabia.

Deep understanding of oil & petrochemical products, trading mechanisms, logistics, and supply chain dynamics.

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
