As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for a Graduate CMF Designer to join our team based in Shalford.

You will work as part of the Group Creative Team. Your primary responsibility will be to support creation and development of CMF narratives, strategy and to help develop the Customer Journey Experience within GMA.

Providing a high-quality service through attention to detail, a disciplined and methodical approach and close liaison with colleagues and customers.

We are looking for an individual to support the Senior Colour & Trim designers with daily tasks relating to bespoke customer specifications. This includes the creation of design presentations, working with suppliers and in house departments to develop paints, finishes, grains and soft trim from initial concept to production.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Colour & Trim designers with bespoke vehicle specifications, capturing information during customer sessions.
  • Preparation of samples for presentations to clients at Customer Experience Centre
  • Develop an understanding of GMA design principles & implement into department strategy
  • Research new Materials and Finishes
  • Supporting with management of development samples
  • Ownership of mastering of material samples, labelling & tracking
  • Maintain an awareness of trends and developments in furniture, fashion and architecture design, and apply that knowledge to automotive design

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Industrial Design, Textile Design, Colour and Material Design, or equivalent, with experience in a creative design studio
  • Highly creative with excellent colour vision, colour harmony and an intuitive understanding of perceived value and craftsmanship
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and visually
  • Self-driven and hands-on with the ability to work independently
  • Strong project planning/management skills would be beneficial
  • Software Tools - Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail & a methodical approach
  • Working exceptionally well under pressure
  • Strong demonstration of current design trends
  • Possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills
