Chief Cook – Ferry in Portsmouth, Hampshire

PermanentWe have an excellent permanent opportunity available for a Chief Cook to join our clients passenger vessel operating out of Portsmouth, UK.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage all aspects of the food gallery.
- Ensure knowledge surrounding food & hygiene changes is kept up to date.
- Training crew & team on food hygiene.
- Undertake duties deemed fit by the Cabin Manager.
- Waste & food management.
- To ensure that catering/food handling is of the highest standards.
- To check all food stores delivered for quality freshness and ensure all stores are put away correctly.
Certificates for the role include:
- Ships Cook CoC.
- Updated STCW training.
- Food Hygiene qualifications.
- ENG1.
- UK residence due to travel requirements.
In return, this position is offering a competitive salary and rotation of 2 weeks on/off.
Please note travel expenses are not covered so it is the crew member's responsibility to arrange travel to and from Portsmouth. Rosters are provided 6 months in advance and there is a free secure car park.
