Our client, a leading Defence company is recruiting a Defence Capture Manager.

This role will Identify, capture and position the business for winning opportunity within the Defence C4 and Future Combat Air accounts, driving growth against a set of business objectives. You will engage internal and external stakeholders to identify growth areas within existing customer accounts, and new business from within the C4 and Air domain. You will lead opportunity capture, ultimately positioning the business as a global leading solution business through expertly shaped business winning proposals.

You will be joining an established, energised, collaborative and supportive business development team who are focused on delivering growth for our customers and stakeholders at a time where the business in the UK is experiencing unprecedented growth, alongside the UK Governments commitment to invest into its defence capabilities.

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

UK-Security Cleared (SC) is essential for this role. Clearance required to start

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify, shape & lead the Northrop Grumman team to winning strategic growth opportunities
  • Demonstrate a strong desire, to influence and shape existing/new customers, enlightening them to the business capabilities
  • Manage internal resources to get the most out of the BD and technical/delivery teams
  • Be confident to present to a variety of customers and stakeholders innovative approaches to solving requirements.
  • Represent more senior BD and Delivery/Account management staff as and when to continuously promote business expertise.

Your Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in successful business development
  • Highly competent at presenting complex requirements to a broad range of professionals within the business.
  • High levels of organisation and focus across CRM (Salesforce) and bid pipeline tools, alongside an ability to write vibrant and powerful reports that secure senior proposal sponsorship.
  • Able to translate strategy and vision into action, driving business growth across business partners
  • An inspirational, motivated individual, acting as a catalyst for change and leading colleagues in the capture multiple revenue threads in time critical situations.
