We are looking for a Test Solutions Developer, to join us. You will get the opportunity to join various complex development projects. You will inittially be responsible for the Hardware as well as as test solution designs and contribute across the full lifecycle/all phases oof the projects.
Day to Day you'll be responsible for -
Understand theories and concepts of electrical and mechanical engineering gained through professional qualification or equivalent
Under technical supervision, contribute to the design and development of new products intended to provide support solutions (e.g. test) of new and in-service weapon systems
Use a combination of COTS hardware and software and bespoke solutions, to meet support system requirements
Design the support/test solution hardware architecture
Detail the COTS elements of the architecture, evaluate available options, down select the optimal solution
Detail the bespoke elements of the architecture, define the requirements to be satisfied and develop the solutions, either in person or through delegation through other routes (subcontract, liaison with other design teams)
Coordinate the development and delivery of the elements of the system
Act as primary integrator/implementer of the hardware solution
Contribute to design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques.
Contribute to design documentation and technical reports
Key Skills we will be looking for -
A degree, HNC, or HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or strongly related subject
An appetite for learning business approaches and procedures including standards for governance and compliance
Proficiency in System Design, Development, Integration & Testing at Hardware level
Significant Experience /Proficient in the use of National Instruments LabVIEW
Significant Experience /Proficient in the use of National Instruments Test Stand
Installation & Configuration of COTS Hardware
Hardware Cables/Connectors for use with Test Equipment
Relevant industrial experience advantageous
