Assistant Management Accountant in London

Assistant Management Accountant - London (hybrid) - 3 month FTC - £350 p/d
ARM are delighted to be hiring for an Assistant Management Accountant to join one of our defence clients based in London on a 3 month basis.

To produce standardised reports for financial reviews.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of transactions on financial systems, with effective controls and checks in place.
* Monitoring, and where appropriate approving invoices, engaging with commercial and suppliers when required to resolve issues.
* Reviewing and undertaking the input of budget profiles
* Undertaking financial approvals of low value items
* Reviewing the Chart of Accounts, ensuring the structure remains current and consistent, verifying new requirements as legitimate.
* Ensuring you and the team are getting the basics right at the first attempt.
* Supporting development and embedding the use of standardised processes to deliver a consistent output to customers.

Requirements
* Educated to GCSE and A-Level Standard (or equivalent), including GCSE passes in English and Maths.
* Studying, or desire to study, towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) is desirable.
* Relevant experience includes working as part of a financial reporting team, management accounting, budgeting, working with financial systems and working as part of a larger team to achieve common goals.
* Experience and understanding of the basic concepts of fixed asset accounting would be an advantage.
* Ability to handle and process large volumes of data efficiently and accurately.
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely.
