Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Crewe, Cheshire

Working as part of the project team to provide technician support in the delivery of engine and transmission calibration projects through to production.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining development vehicle fleet, covering:
• Tracking vehicle build integration levels (hardware & software updates) and ensuring fleet vehicles are up to date
• Coordinate workshop activities for hardware and software updates
• Installation of test equipment
• Prototype build support
• Preparation of vehicles for test
• Support during overseas environmental test trips (up to 3 weeks in duration)
• Manage spares and measurement equipment
• Conducting specific vehicle testing and data acquisition in support of engineers

Skills & Experience

• Experience servicing and maintaining vehicles
• Experience of vehicle and powertrain test activities
• Prior experience working with development and prototype vehicles is preferential
• Prior experience working on hybrid and electric vehicles is preferential
• Good problem-solving and evaluation techniques

Available to travel for extended periods (up to 3 weeks at a time), sometimes with short notice, worldwide

Full valid UK driving license required
