We are looking for a Training operator to join us and deliver training support on the Maritime Composite Training System (MCTS). It is a training platform used to provide simulation training and warfare training in controlled environments.

You will be expected to support in the continuation and collective training activities; through specified, realistic control and operation of high-fidelity MCTS warfare training environment.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates from a Navy background who specialise in AWW or UW.

Day to Day duties -
Contribution to the effective and delivery of a high-fidelity maritime warfare training service in Warfare Team Trainer (WTT); Classroom Based Simulation Trainer (CBST)
Electronic Classroom Trainers (ECT) settings, providing timely and relevant cues, prompts, stimuli and light-touch guidance to enable effective control and use/operation of the system in use,
Assist instructors in generating student responses/action/reaction to simulated events.
Contribute to the overall generation of believable, immersive, scenarios that contain expected drill; procedure; internal and external communications dialogue that the student body being trained is required to become familiar with and use.
Working within the Common Synthetic Environment Control (CSEC) control room, and/or at training space User/Operator Desks in WTT and ECT environments, once trained.
Deliver a broad variety of task-related training support and delivery tasks to include: simulator preparation (configuration/reconfiguration); task-related administration; data collection, support and security related tasks.
Advise and assist Instructors and staff in the delivery of their training activities, by providing competent and willing support to facilitate the delivery of training in MCTS simulators and electronic classrooms.
Assist in the observation of physical system performance and the collation of all necessary data gathering to enable/support MCTS system analysis.
Advise and assist MWS and FOST staff instructors and students, where necessary, in the use of MCTS Training Systems.
Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

Key skills & experience we are looking for -
General, working knowledge of surface ship sensors and weapon systems. Working knowledge/ experience of at least one current Command system (preferably DNA2 and/or CMS).
General working knowledge of Operations Room Action information Organisation (AIO).
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Flexible, calm approach.
Ability to prioritise workload when under pressure to meet deadlines in conflicting situations.
Customer focus
IT skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
Prior experience of delivering or supporting immersive military training in the simulation environment, including the ability to interpret situations and fill in with appropriate cues, prompts and stimuli to ensure that simulation play remains believable.
Experience of working in an electronic simulation environment as a facilitator of military training: understand and implement computer simulation methods/techniques, as gained from previous direct experience in the field of systems simulation, computer-aided design or gaming beneficial.
Ability to recognise aberrant system behaviour and perform a level of correction action
Ability to self-motivate
