Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Staff Engineer/Tech Lead to join their growing tech team. As a Staff Engineer/Tech Lead, you will be the technical lead for small team of engineers working on initiatives to support their engineering strategy, which will be instrumental in driving impact in the business. Location: London or Portsmouth based. Hybrid working applies with 2 days in office, 3 days at home.

Where do you fit in?

You will report to and work with your Engineering Manager to support high performing engineers to deliver at pace. You'll work collaboratively with Engineering leadership as well as Product Managers and other stakeholders to deliver on a key strategic product for the year. You'll be the technical lead for the High Value Trades Pod, which includes supporting and mentoring other individual contributor engineers to deliver on this exciting greenfield product designed to service a new segment of customers we are going after. This includes providing guidance on technical decision-making with an eye towards simplicity, high standards and a strong bias towards delivery. You'll be hands-on in software system design, architecture, development, testing and monitoring, covering both backend and frontend.

What do you need to succeed?
* Previous experience in a similar Staff Engineer level role with expert level of skills in TypeScript and/or C#.
* Salesforce and/ or Mulesoft experience would be highly desirable although not essential.
* You'll be skilled in software system design, architecture and providing guidance on technical decision making.
* Passionate about brilliant digital products and focussed in delivery.
* Experienced in working collaboratively in an Agile Scrum team.
