ARM is delighted to be supporting in the hiring of a Technical Consultant on a permanent basis to join an exciting consultancy operating primarily in the defence and civil sectors. It is an excellent time to join as they continue to grow rapidly which in turn presents opportunity for personal development.

The purpose of the role is to support high-profile defence and public programmes. You will provide support and guidance to ensure technology meets the business objectives and maximum benefits are reached.

Responsibilities:

* Driving strategy and delivery of IT systems
* Define end-to-end technical delivery of architectures including Business, Applications, Data and Infrastructure
* Create documentation for user and service
* Deliver key Concept and Assessment products
* Support IT procurements, and development of procurement documentation

Requirements:

* Solid knowledge of Enterprise and Technical Architecture development and review using EA frameworks e.g. TOGAF, MODAF
* Solid knowledge of system or business analysis methods and tools, e.g. BPMN, UML
* Good exposure to software development methods and techniques e.g. Agile, SCRUM etc
* Solid understanding of Information security policy standards e.g. ISO27001 / ISO27002, Cyber Essentials
* Good Project and Programme Management methods e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, DSDM
* Exposure to Public sector best practice, e.g. OGC toolkit, ITIL
* Strong understanding of Systems integration and testing, Information systems security, Procurement and Contracting Strategies
