My client, a managed service provider is looking for a Datacentre Engineer to join their fast paced team on an initial 6 month contract.
The ideal candidate will have the below skills and experience-
* A comprehensive understanding of the fundamental hardware components of an Enterprise IT architecture
* IMAC - including structured cabling and network interconnect patching
* Fundamentals of CAT6a and OM4 structured cabling architecture
* Fundamentals of electrical power and the ability to perform basic calculations
* Monitoring and Alerting - Environment and power
* Familiar with Air flow Management
* Familiar with Energy Use Systems
* Familiar with Power Systems
The below skills and experience are desirable-
Industry recognised certification e.g., CDCTP or CDCDP
Data Centre Technician/Engineering background
Cisco Switching and Routing background
Familiar with SLC's IT infrastructure
