Supplier Performance Quality Leader in Gloucestershire

My Clients is looking for a "Supplier Performance Quality Leader (Special Processes)" for the manufacture and assembly of aircraft components and complex mechanisms.

* The ideal candidate will be from a high tolerance engineering background with complex assemblies of components into fully operational systems.
* You will need to have excellent suppler relationship experience and capable of managing parts availability, to the required quality standards, to meet
production demands.
* Proven ability in troubleshooting and problem solving using the following as a minimum: 8D, 5Y and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

About the role:-
* Strong Quality background in process systems for the manufacture of high-precision, mechanical components and assembly
* Troubleshooting and problem solving skills using 8D / 5Y RCA
* Logistics, purchasing, forecasting and demand planning with suppliers for production needs
* Special processes - chrome, cadmium, plating and coatings on metals and NDT etc
* Machined parts and assembly of parts - Hydraulic/mechanical components and assemblies
* Supplier visits - mostly UK based - European travel may be required but very minimal
* Hybrid working pattern available

* Managing Suppliers and product quality/volumes
* Capacity planning / call off quantities and parts availability

* Special processes - plating and treatments of metals
* Whilst experience of special process for coating and plating of metal components is intrinsic to this role, it is something that can be learned on the job,
if the other primary requirements for this role are met
