How you will make a difference
We are seeking a Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join a small team in a critical customer area, focusing on support and maintenance of key customer systems, concerning data ingest, storage and management. This involves deep technical investigations related to user incidents/queries, system maintenance (e.g. certificates, compliance), cluster management, identifying and enacting improvements/efficiencies. There may also be scope for Software development work in other areas as customer priorities dictate.

Additional Details
Essential criteria:- DV cleared
- Experience of modern programming languages, predominantly the latest Java version.
- DevOps automated deployment technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, Openshift/Kubernetes?
- Experienced in Spring Boot 1.5 or above, Accumulo 1.9.2, Json, Puppet 4.x or above, Redis, Rabbit
- Data capture and storage.
- Effective use and maintenance of JIRA and Confluence.
- Attention to detail and never compromising on quality of outputs.
- Able to work within a team and as an individual as required.
Desirable criteria :- Knowledge of Druid and React.
- Micro-Services experience.
- Big data tools/techniques.
- SQL
- AWS
