Software Engineer in Romsey, Hampshire

A leading Defence client of ours is currently on the market for a Software Engineer with specific knowledge within a Signal Processing environment. Beyond your technical skills, you will be proactive and able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will work well alone or as part of a team.

Day-to-day duties include
* Provide expertise in the development and implementation of DSP algorithms.
* Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverable and contribute to bids
* Provide technical support to customer meetings
* Apply and scale engineering processes effectively
* Identify and collaborate with all stakeholders

Essential Skills:
* R&D experience of algorithm development (communications or sensing)
* Understanding of communications and sensing signal processing techniques
* Experience of modelling/simulating algorithms
* Experience of embedded implementation of algorithms

Desirable Knowledge:
* Knowledge of the military communication domain, intelligent sensing and signal processing techniques (relating to communication and intelligent sensing)
* Knowledge of other defence disciplines, such as Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, Radar, or GNSS. RPNT (robust positional navigation timing).
