Software Architect in Yeovil, Somerset

PermanentResponsibilities
- Responsibility for requirements, design, implementation, and testing at a high standard, on time, and within budget
- Helping to create technical solutions
- Developing cutting-edge software solutions
- Supervising the testing done to confirm the above
- Ensuring compliance with software development procedures and project processes
- Providing assistance for system testing and integration activities
- Manufacturing technical documentation
- Identifying problems and determining their causes
- Development activity estimation
Essential Experience
- Software development lifecycle and processes (e.g., design, coding, unit testing) and tools (e.g., UML design tools, code IDEs, source code control, defect reporting systems)
- Desktop-based applications (Java and Eclipse RCP or C#/C++/Python)
- Web-oriented applications and services (Java/C#, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, CSS, Apache middleware)
- Object-oriented design/development including UML, SysML or XML
- Agile and scrum
- MoD or Industry IT projects and programmes
- Industry tools and processes such as DOORS, Enterprise Architect, JIRA or Git
