With multiple sites in Shalford, Dunfold, Warwick and a new purpose-built HQ on its way in Windlesham, the Gordon Murray Group continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for Senior Project Engineer - Closure Systems to join our Body Exterior Team based in either Shalford or Warwick.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components
• Own the closure systems and attribute delivery.
• Responsible for upholding the highest standards of geometry creation and GD&T
• Report to Senior project engineers responsible for the relevant commodities
• Prepares full project documents
• Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products
• Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle body systems:
  • Closures
  • Panels
  • Active Aero
  • Body NVH
  • Body Heatshielding
  • Lighting
  • Wiper Systems
  • Sealing
  • Ornamentation and Trim
  • NVH
  • Glazing
• Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance
• Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years relevant experience required in exterior trim, closures of body mechanism
• Significant closure system knowledge and experience, Doors, Hood, Tailgate, Charge/Fuel flap.
• Automotive experience essential
