With multiple sites in Shalford, Dunsfold, and a new purpose-built HQ on its way in Windlesham, the Gordon Murray Group continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project engineer to join our production team based in Shalford & Dunsfold, Surrey.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the project plan for current production vehicles liaising with engineering, purchasing, logistics and quality to ensure the delivery requirements of vehicle components are met timely and within budget.
- Deliver the project plan and establish scheduling, action plan and tracking.
- Planning, monitoring and execution of project activities to guarantee project delivery in line with targets and deliverables.
- Coordinate and provide direction on supply chain in association with various departments to ensure delivery of components to support validation and implementation timing.
- Lead key project meetings.
- Prepare the project performance and risk assessment reporting to support senior management project status reviews
Experience and qualifications:
- Experience in an automotive, aerospace, FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Experience of delivering projects within multiple sectors is an advantage.
- Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- High level of competence with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools.
- Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive team player able to successfully cope with tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality of performance.
- Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
- Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external clients
- Must be a team player.
