The Role:
The role will consist of investigating and solving under-body structures new models (PT Builds) and current production vehicle build issues.
Responsibilities:
* Lead point of contact for own issue identification and resolution for both production and new models (PT) vehicles.
* Raise concerns and containment action documents and manage them.
* Create CAD models and drawings to support containment actions.
* Sign off prototype vehicles on behalf of departments.
About you:
* Experience of the body under structures, two or more of the following: Metal Casting, extrusions, pressings/forming, RTM, SMC & C/F panels.
* Knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements & lead times.
* Hold an engineering degree with experience in automotive body structures product development.
* The successful candidate will have knowledge of aluminium in automotive product development.
* Experience in assembly techniques used in the manufacturing and assembly of aluminium and SMC parts
* The candidate will have knowledge of Siemens NX CAD systems.
* Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM, VisMockup systems
