As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for a Senior Engineer - Body Exterior Systems to join the team based in Shalford, Surrey.

Job Overview:

As the Senior Engineer for Body Exterior Systems, you will be a key contributor to the development and innovation of cutting-edge automotive exterior designs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in advancing our engineering capabilities, ensuring the highest standards in body exterior systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Lead the design and development of body exterior systems, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and aesthetic standards.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including design, aerodynamics, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of body exterior components.
• Material Selection and Optimization: Collaborate with materials engineers to select and optimize materials for body exterior systems, considering performance and sustainability.
• Testing and Validation: Develop and implement testing and validation protocols to ensure the durability, reliability, and functionality of body exterior systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or relevant experience
• Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Engineer with a focus on body exterior systems, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of body exterior design, development, and optimization, with hands-on experience in relevant engineering tools and software.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully leading engineering teams.
• Innovative Thinking: A creative thinker with a passion for pushing the boundaries of engineering possibilities.
