Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer
Work Location: Near Basingstoke (UK)
Up to £45,000 - £60,000 + benefits DOE

An SME company with a site in Hampshire re looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer.

The company are heavily focused on designing, developing, and then manufacturing technologically advanced smart meters and metering systems. They work within the global utility industry

Must haves:
- Experience and Knowledge in analog electronic design (experience in linear or switched-mode power supplies, experience in component selection, the experience of PCB technology, knowledge of RF design)
- Experience in interfacing with suppliers/prototyping companies.
- Experience in certifying electronic/RF products for the European market (RED, LV, RoHS)

If you have the below this is also desirable:
- Experience in the electronic manufacturing process (DFM, testing, automation)
- Experience in quality processes
- Experience in reliability design/tools (HALT, ALT, DFMEA)

The Senior Electronics Engineer will interact with all members of the Hardware team, and other departments when relevant (quality, project management, supply chain (component sourcing, finance, and factory). The Senior Electronics Engineer will work with external laboratories.

The candidate will ideally hold a relevant degree in electronics or related to electronics (essential). It is essential that the candidate has experience in delivering products in an industrial/consumer electronic market.

The Senior Electronics Engineer will:
- Regularly report to the Hardware Manager the progress of the design (time lines) and the associated risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
- Will interface with other members of the team (layout, compatibility with the mechanical design, testing).
- Will work with external test laboratories in order to qualify products

This role might include some travels in the UK for labs and abroad.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
