Senior Battery Design Engineer
Northampton - £Competitive - Permanent (Hybrid)

The Role

* Detailed designs of components and systems, with consideration for manufacturing and assembly requirements.
* Conduct feasibility studies, and design engine components, systems, and vehicle installations.
* Carry out value analysis/value engineering programmes
* Create drawings including geometric dimension and tolerance
* Present clients with design work
* Design test parts for development testing
* Liaise with program suppliers, internal and external customers
* Supervise less experienced staff

About you

* The successful candidate will have an engineering degree or HND with relevant experience
* Professional qualifications
* Membership in professional body is advantageous
* Experience in the field of engine component and system design
* Experience in CAD systems used in automotive design is advantageous
* Understanding the FMEA, DVP and problem-solving techniques
* German Language skills are advantageous
* Willingness to travel to customer sites for both long and short duration's
