Senior Accounting Manager in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Senior Accounting Manager - Cambridge, Remote - 12 month contract - £46 p/h (umbrella)

ARM are delighted to be working with a reputable pharmaceutical company based in Cambridge.

The right candidate will apply your in-depth knowledge of UK and Irish financial accounting and tax matters to meet internal and external compliance and reporting obligations.

Responsibilities:
* Provision of timely accounting and tax advice and reporting relating to statutory accounting
* Identification and implementation of process improvement and strategic financial initiatives
* Day to day management of the local team to deliver accounting and tax support to the business
* Manage monthly/quarterly close
* Take responsibility for all statutory reporting including audited accounts and all tax filings
* Lead/support internal controls processes such as quarterly balance sheet reviews, risk-based review of significant payments and cash flow forecasting
* Oversee all tax filings and payments in conjunction with outsourced partner
* Manage Transfer Pricing analysis in conjunction with European tax team
* Manage tax audits and HMRC enquires
* Management of tax provisioning in partnership with EU tax team
* Responsible for monthly payroll controls review and approval for UK and Irish payrolls

Requirements:
* Experienced Financial Accountant in a complex multinational business
* ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification
* Demonstrated excellent technical knowledge of UK and Irish GAAP, UK and Irish tax, transfer pricing and accounting systems/processes; experience with US GAAP
* Demonstrated high level of analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems
* Excellent computer skills in the Microsoft Office environment, particularly MS Excel
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP Solution
