ARM are delighted to be supporting one of clients with the recruitment of a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis.

The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for Purchasing materials for project related orders and items for non-project related orders.

Responsibilities:

* Respond to material requirements for project related orders.
* Requesting quotations from suppliers and handling price negotiations and complaints.
* Liaising with suppliers regarding non-conforming goods.
* Keep MRP software up to date with supplier lead times.
* Work with Stock & Logistics Technician to maintain stock of consumables.
* Purchase all items in line with Approved Suppliers List.
* Maintain Approved Supplier List and supplier files.
* Run weekly Open Order list showing overdue suppliers and progress deliveries.
* Maintaining Company Master Data and creating statistics and reports.

Requirements:

* Previous Purchasing experience is essential.
* Marker knowledge of Electronics would be an advantage.
* Experience in Sage 50/200 and MRP Software.
* Strong communication skills.
* Good Analytical skills.
* Ability to think strategically.
