Senior Accountant in Leicester, Leicestershire

Senior Accountant - Leicester (Hybrid/Remote) - 3 month Contract - £22.00-£23.50 per hour (DOE)

ARM are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their client based in Leicester on a 3 month contract basis.

To prepare capital budgets and forecasts and identify areas of risk and opportunity and execute appropriate responses.

Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop a team of approximately 2 employees
* Supervise activities carried out by a Trainee Accountant
* Prepare capital budgets and forecasts.
* Identify areas of risk and opportunity and execute appropriate responses.
* Provide support and expertise to finance team colleagues and service-based staff
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the financial strategy.
* Maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of legislation, regulations, and guidance

Requirements:
* Accounting qualification recognised by one of the following: CIPFA, ICA, ACCA, CIMA
* Write clear, concise reports which analyse complex financial data
* Deal with customers/clients face to face/on the telephone/via e-mail/letter
* Verbally present new ideas and proposals.
* Give clear presentations to a variety of audiences.
* Negotiate successful outcomes.
* Extensive experience of budgeting and forecasting.
* Experience in a similar role in a large organisation, preferably local government or similar.
