Regional Contract Buyer - Peterborough - Permanent - £Competitive

With over one hundred years of industry experience are client is a trailblazer when it comes to power generation technologies. We are currently looking for a Regional Contract Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.

The Buyer will execute buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans, specifically focused on improving supplier overall performance and capacity ahead of demand.

The role is defined as Hybrid with the requirement to work on-site in Peterborough 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

* Analyse purchasing initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services.
* Prepares and presents recommendations of improvement opportunities
* Consistently applies sourcing policies, procedures, and processes.
* Supports the link between purchasing and manufacturing facilities
* Interact with suppliers regarding payment issues and order fulfillment.

Requirements:

* Purchasing experience within an Engineering, Manufacturing, or power generation industry
* Strong Communication and stakeholder management skills.
* College, university, or equivalent degree in a related business field.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* CIPS qualified desirable
