ARM are delighted to be recruiting for a prestigious defence company who are actively recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager on a permanent basis.
Requirement
* Deliver a world class supply chain management and collaboration capability.
* To work cohesively with the project managers and campaign leads to ensure delivery and supportability of existing products and services.
* When required, provide bid support as Supply Chain SME for sub-contractor engagement, management and sourcing strategy as well as authoring bid proposal documentation relating to Supply Chain Management Planning.
* Value management expertise to achieve increased throughput and service quality.
* Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Actively supports the supply chain transformation and the effective enhancement of its brand by ensuring a professional, best practice approach is adopted at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Supplier management and development.
* Develop processes to support programmes in maintaining internal and external KPI's.
* Control MRP and consequent materials purchasing and rescheduling working in conjunction with engineering teams and production controllers.
* Responsibility for strategic and key supplier relationships and supports the Supply Chain function and wider business in developing key supplier relationships.
* Ensure that contracts for strategic and key suppliers have commercial rigour, incorporate continuous improvement targets and executed in accordance with policy.
* Ensures that the appropriate supply risk and audit activities are conducted.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Experience of supporting bids and authoring supporting artefacts including customer facing plans and proposals
* Commercial contract management knowledge
* Demonstrable track record of developing and maintaining strong stakeholder and supplier relationships
* Full membership of MCIPS
