PermanentThe Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Operations Manager to join our client, who are an established business leading activity within the Offshore Energy Installation market.

What your role will look like:
- Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project offshore operations, in accordance with Client requirements, within time and cost constraints and in compliance with Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality procedures
- Be the unique focal point between the Project Management Team and the Offshore Construction Manager of the installation vessel and Lead the general preparation and interfaces with all the departments related to the offshore installation and transportation scope
- Manage the offshore operations leading the Vessel Offshore Construction Manager and relevant offshore Subcontractors
- Represent the offshore Clients representatives and Subcontractors managing also the Project Operations contractual aspects
- Propose the offshore Project strategies, fleet/ancillary vessels scope of work ensuring the related activity planning to the Project Manager (PM) for validation
- Contribute for his remits to the overall project planning and scheduling assuring the most suitable and efficient solutions in terms of installation sequences, works scheduling, planning, etc
- Support the PM during negotiation with Client on the outstanding pricing, commercial, technical aspects of the contract's offshore portion and the variation orders related to offshore part
- Be familiar of Project contractual and technical documents related to offshore installation.
- Review installation engineering procedures to ensure operation optimization
- Monitor and update together with the Project Control Manager the offshore installation and transportation cost budgets and schedules in its remit, aiming at schedule and related costs improvement
- Ensure timely preparation of the Numerical HR Schedules as per Saipem procedures
- Liaise with Offshore Vessel Manning Department (OVMD) for all manning matters and coordinate with OVMD,Offshore Vessel Operations Competences department, Master and OCM to ensure qualified marine and technical personnel mobilization according to Project requirements
- Be the focal point between Project Management Team (PMT), Offshore Operations department and the Offshore Assets team for what concerns any vessel modification.
- Review, validate and approve (to the extent of his delegation by PM) the related budget and change order
- Be accountable for the vessel productivity in liaison with Offshore Pipeline Technologies Team
- Liaise with Offshore Vessel Operations Management and OCM to collect the relevant offshore lessons learn and best practices
- Contribute to the installation aids procurement/logistics ensuring adequacy with Project requirements and budget.
- Lead external/internal subcontracting activities (survey & positioning, ROV services, diving, pre-commissioning, etc.) related to the installation scope
- Lead the subcontracting and chartering activities (crew boat, helicopter services, transportation and supply vessels, cargo barges and associated tugs, etc.) link to with the transportation/logistics scope
- Interface with Offshore Procurement, Post Order and Logistic department and Fabrication departments for the incorporated items delivery on the offshore site and take care of transportation vessels preparation associated to the installation vessels.
- Liaise and define with Project Fabrication Manager the best construction yard fabrication strategy to ensure a proper yard/quay occupation and optimize the logistics spread (cargo barge/supply vessels/etc.)
- Ensure that all fabricated structures and associated transportation spread that are leaving the yard match the offshore requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- Candidate must have proven experience as an Operations Manager within a large Offshore Installation Contractor.
- You must have the existing right to work in the UK
