We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project HSE Engineer to join a Global Construction and Engineering firm, specialising in the Offshore Energy sector.
As a Project HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for providing vital support to our project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects, ideally within the offshore energy sector, within either Pipelay or Heavy lift construction activities. You will have excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure.
Your duties will include:
- Development, management and improvement of project HSE management systems throughout the engineering and development phases of the project.
- Ensuring design, engineering and construction activities are conducted in accordance with Client HSE requirements, HSE standards, legislation, and ISO/ OHSAS standards.
- Ensuring Project HSE plans and procedures are developed.
- Assisting the project team in the Risk Management process (i.e. HAZID, Risk Assessment and HAZOP, etc.).
- Identify potential emergency scenarios and develop emergency preparedness plans.
- Plan and conduct HSE audits and reviews of project team and subcontracted activities.
- Document project-specific environmental aspects/ impacts and related management measures.
Requirements for the role:
- Candidates must have experience as a Project HSE Engineer with technical experience in an HS&E advisory role covering complex offshore construction activities preferably pipelay or heavy lift.
- You must have the existing right to work in the UK
