As we continue to expand and embark on exciting new projects, we are seeking a talented Project Finance Controller to join our team.
The Project Finance Controller at GMAE plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing financial aspects of our cutting-edge automotive projects. This role requires a dynamic and detail-oriented finance professional who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the financial success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning: Develop and maintain project-specific financial plans, including budgets, forecasts, and financial models, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives for all vehicle programmes.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures and cost trends, identifying potential deviations and implementing corrective actions to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for project stakeholders, providing insights into project financial performance.
- Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks associated with projects and work with project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage project cash flows, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet project requirements.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to assess and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project budgets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project dynamics and provide financial guidance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performance Analysis: Analyse project financial performance, providing recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications preferred).
- Proven experience as a financial controller or similar role (automotive or manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
