ARM is currently working with a cutting-edge Consultancy operating across safety-critical industries who are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.

Working with their key Clients in the Defence industry, my client is based in Hampshire and is offering a Hybrid working Model.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of project plans with associated budget, resource requirements and schedule with business stakeholders as required.
  • Day-to-day management of projects throughout their lifespan in line with best practice project management processes including but not limited to project actions, issues, and risk management.
  • Participation with resource planning for technical and engineering design/development, verification, and compliance and NPI staff as required.
  • Harvest and interpret customer technical requirements, identifying the customer needs and pains towards the opportunity win strategy.
  • Support Sales to define a strategic approach toOSR completion that is in-line withcustomers' expectations, by:
    • Understanding and challenging the commercial opportunity.
    • Recommending approaches to develop solutions to meet customer requirements, pains etc.
    • Identifying the best value solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Represent the customers perspective throughout the project delivery including all design reviews to ensure the final delivery aligns with customer requirements and expectations.
  • Own the BoM for COTS(+) designs, supporting the realisation of materials into jobs and ultimately the top-level BoM.

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Detailed knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.
  • Competent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in collaboratively developing end-to-end customer hardware solutions.
  • Experience in authoring technical specifications. Experience in a computing or technology-related industry.

Key Experience for the role:

  • Experience of Systems engineering for complex electro/mechanical systems.
  • Experience of Defence or Aerospace projects.
  • Experience in computing or rack-based system design.
  • Hands-on experience specifying, designing, and architecting 19" rack solutions Competent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in collaboratively developing end-to-end customer hardware solutions.
  • Experience in authoring technical specifications. Experience in a computing or technology-related industry.

Due to the nature of the sector, this role requires candidates to be able to gain a full BPSS Security Clearance.
