You be a Senior Manufacturing Engineer working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
You will be a part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team where you will get the chance to work in unique large-scale projects and broaden your skillset.
As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in:
- Applying depth and breadth of Production Engineering knowledge and experience to Support/undertake development in the following disciplines:
- Electro-Mechanical assembly
- Good experience and understanding of a wide range of Mechanical and /or Electrical disciplines within Manufacturing
- Interpret production drawing data to identify/generate:
- Tooling requirements
- Manufacturing process requirements
- Handling & safety requirements
- Estimation of assembly times
- Methods/routings for new build, rework/salvage, and survey/refurbishment
- Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions to provide clear, unambiguous instructions to assembly technicians
- Effective/efficient/practical shopfloor layouts
- Conduct the following health and safety-related activities:
- Risk assessments
- COSHH assessments
- PUWER assessments
- Manual handling assessments
- Undertake technical liaison with sub-contractors and customers
- Develop training packages to ensure new technologies and processes are understood and correctly implemented
- Work alongside development teams to ensure Design for Manufacture is considered for all new products
Your required skills and experiences:
- HNC/D qualification in engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Requires a good understanding of Material Requirements Planning systems
- The ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines through forging strong relationships across functions and understanding stakeholder relationships
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, circuit diagrams, etc
- Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing Techniques
- Experience working with SAP
