An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of our largest Aviation companies, here in the UK!

Our client is looking for Product Support Engineers to support existing company product platforms, mainly Fixed and Rotor Wing aircraft.

They are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to their UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services and are very much in a growth phase.

BDUK engineering function operates a matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department.

The Department consists of the following technical areas:
* Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
* Reliability and Maintainability
* Logistic Support Analysis
* Engineering Data Exploitation
* Obsolescence Management
* Technical Publications
* Product Support Engineering.

As a Product Support Engineer, you will help to facilitate and implement Product Support Engineer philosophies and techniques whilst remaining compliant with the appropriate regulatory standards. You will report to the BDUK Product Support Engineering Manager whilst being technically supported by our other capability specialists within the department.

In your role, you shall:
* Check the GOLDesp BC Tasking Log during the week to ensure continuous progress is made in processing pending work within the BC.
* Carry out checks of aircraft component paperwork, by gaining access to the manufactures packaging, to ensure correct conditioning and airworthiness details are present prior to GOLDesp creation.
* The management of creation and updates within the GOLDesp Boundary ensuring all work is prioritised correctly.
* Using the correct documentation, ensure all items of equipment designated GOLDesp tracked at Poseidon Line Squadron are electronically captured and have all technical data, life details and modification history transferred onto the GOLDesp system.
* Amend these details (post-creation/update) when required, so providing end users with this data.
* Export assets electronically to another GOLDesp Boundary when required.
* Receive assets electronically from a different GOLDesp Boundary and update assets as required maintaining good data integrity.
* When qualified, carry out QA of assets created or updated by other BC personnel
* Deputise for Senior Supervisor GOLDesp BC in times of absence

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
The preferred candidate will have most of the following, with some considered crucial:
* Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
* You will be educated to degree level in a relevant STEM subject
* Ideally, some understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment
* Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail
* Strong written and oral communication skills
