Product Development Architect in England

Our client are seeking a Product Development Architect to join their team remotely

The role of the Product Development Architect is to own product development projects within the product development process and to ensure timely delivery of new or updated products and services for us to sell and deliver to customers.

The Product Development Architect will work closely within a number of forums, most notably the Product Group Forum and the CTO Forum to capture demand for new / updated propositions and to be the lead design resource for the development lifecycle.

As a senior member in the CTO Office, The Product Group Consultant is expected to keep abreast of market trends including but not limited to the latest in Cloud, Managed Service, AI, Automation and technology trends and will use this knowledge to drive creation of successful products.

Responsibilities

• Solution and service design activities for new products and services covering Cloud, Managed Workplace, Cyber Security, Application Modernisation and Digital Innovation solution, linking these to our own Service capabilities
• Creation of statement of work, proposal and cost calculator templates
• Support the creation of marketing and sales materials through the provision of content.
• Investigations into new technologies, services, products and commercial models to support selection and prioritisation of products for development
• Articulate the value of our services to solve customer problems.
• Consulting Craft: Demonstrate proficiency within areas of subject matter expertise, written/verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, interviewing, and delivery.
• Identify efficiencies and anticipate/resolve potential problems within solutions, working with internal delivery and the customer. Design, perform and oversee key areas of analysis and technical decision making. Guide overall technical/functional approach.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of Cloud, Managed Workplace, Cyber Security, Application Modernisation and Digital Innovation technologies to solve business problems rather than just IT issues.
• Provide leadership and support to Project Managers, Engagement Partners and project teams to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction. Serves as a role model for others to follow. Able to take and deliver against expectations of lead project roles. Leads/drives efforts to mentor or train others.

Skills and experiences:

• Experienced professional Product Development consultant to manage Product Development engagement.
• Detailed knowledge of the cloud and managed services industry and associated emerging trends.
• Knowledge of the different propositions, services and offerings.
• Demonstrated solution design and implementation of products and services.
• Demonstrate service design and project governance skills and experience
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated business and commercial requirements understanding
• Project facilitation ensuring delivery of services set up in line with customer's needs.
• Demonstrable ability to work as a consultant to CIO/CTO/IT Director level.
• Manage workshop environments, taking ownership and leading all aspects of workshop facilitation.
• Interface with Project Managers within and the client's IT staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
• Demonstrable ability to provide robust and clear feedback to customers.

Technical expertise, qualifications and accreditation's:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Project Management using Prince 2 or similar
• Product development via formal development processes
• Cloud design and solution architecture
• ITIL Accreditation
• Platform and Virtualisation technology expertise and experience
• Sales proposition design and delivery
• Presales experience
• Sales experience would be beneficial
