My client is one of the leading defence companies around & they provide some of the world's most advanced technology solutions. They are looking for a Principal Engineer to join their Future Projects team. You'll apply your knowledge to cutting edge technology and processes and be involved on their new portfolio.

You'll also be responsible for -
Carrying out relatively complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.
The development of automation solution requirement specifications, system operational philosophy, solution functional design sections and acceptance plans. Ownership of the acceptance planning for the solution safety case, including functional critical assessments, product integrity reviews and software assurance.
Act as main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives.

Essential skill they will look for -
Have experience in Stage 1 Platform Management Systems Design
Possess in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals within current discipline.
Be recognised and consulted as one of the experts within at least one domain or for possessing deep knowledge of several domains within current discipline.
Have sufficient breadth of knowledge of warship design.
