Press Officer - London - Contract until Feb 2024 - £26 p/h (PAYE)

ARM is delighted to be recruiting for a governance body who are actively seeking a Press Officer to join them on a contract until Feb 2024.

The role requires an exceptional communicator to support active assembly members and to develop strategies involved.

Responsibilities:

* Use political awareness and excellent communications skills to develop and implement a wide range of media strategies covering specialist areas, policies and strategies.
* Develop and maintain relationships with a network of key external contacts, including London and national media, to ensure effective communication of policies and strategies.
* Prepare well written, concise and timely briefing papers, media strategies, press releases, op eds and other media materials.
* Respond to media enquiries effectively and efficiently and ensure swift rebuttal to inaccurate media stories.
* Pays close attention to detail, ensuring team's work is delivered to a high standard standard.

Requirements:

* Evidence of working successfully, in a similar role in a high profile organisation and managing staff
* Knowledge and understanding of media handling techniques
* Ability to utilise the latest information and communication technologies in relation to media issues
* Strong communication skills including stakeholder engagement
* Degree qualified in a relevant study
