Procurement Manager - Salisbury - Permanent - £Competitive

ARM are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing business with the Recruitment of a Procurement Manager on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to manage direct material spend across a number of commodities achieving excellent and measured results for quality, cost and on time delivery.

Responsibilities:

* Act as first point of contact between Supply Chain function, suppliers and other relevant departments.
* Work with the Site Director and the Strategic Supply Managers to implement a category spend strategy and KPIs management.
* Act as the conduit between Tactical and Strategic teams.
* Work collaboratively with strategic team to develop robust and agile supply chain.
* Take full ownership of allocated suppliers/categories and manage their performance.
* Manage procurement of MRP, None-MRP, Kanban and PRs based requirements.
* Implement robust, consistent Orderbook Management process with the teams/suppliers.
* Effectively work with Supply Chain team, internal & external stakeholders in problem solving.
* Work closely with Warehouse Manager and team to support implementation of materials strategy.
* Build, maintain and manage supplier relationship and ensure that a professional, consistent approach is taken.

Requirements:

* 4-5 years of experience within an electronics manufacturing business.
* Minimum 4 years of work experience in the procurement function.
* Minimum 3 years of work experience in Team Management.
* Relevant Degree and/or CIPS qualified (or part completed) or equivalent Supply Chain or business management qualification.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; superior negotiation skills a must.
* In depth knowledge of Current Best-In Class supplier qualification processes and supplier performance metrics
