Payroll & People Advisor in Chelmsford, Essex

Payroll & People Advisor - Chelmsford - 6 Month Contract - £15 p/h

ARM is delighted to be recruiting for a local authority who are actively seeking a Payroll & People Advisor to join them on a contract basis.

The role requires a strong understanding of HMRC Statutory absence legislation, a sound knowledge of tax, national insurance and Pension Contributions.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for resolving complex payroll queries
* Responsible for payroll processes generating payments to employees and third parties
* Able to work well in a team to ensure the highest quality of work
* Responding effectively to customers' enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Capable of identifying and mitigating risks and effective issue resolution
* Supports the drive to improve the service and quality

Requirements:

* Educated to RQF level 3 (GCSE) or equivalent by experience.
* Ideally working towards a CIPP Qualification
* Experience of using payroll systems
* Experience of working in a customer-orientated environment
* Evidence of continuing professional development and knowledge in relevant professional area
