ARM are working with a global rail business to find a Maintenance Technician to join the experienced Rolling Stock team based in South West London. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the future of the railway in the UK.
About You:
You will be an experienced Maintenance Technician with an Electrical (or Mechanical) background, ideally in the rail industry but other industries are welcome as training will be provided. Specifically, you will have:
- Relevant experience within a predominately electrical engineering environment.
- Fault-finding experience.
- Experience in documenting actions and operations accurately and to procedures
- Good knowledge and understanding for care of tools, equipment and PPE.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
- Experience using a laptop for diagnostic, fault finding and rectification purposes and can produce detailed complex, analytical technical reports.
- Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications.
What you will be doing:
You will be undertaking maintenance and repair of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the production plan. This will include:
- Carrying out download diagnosis and fault finding to an advanced level
- Producing complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigation
- Assisting other team members with the development of technical skills
- Specialising in areas of technical expertise
- Assisting with the provision of technical support at incidents off depot
- Providing first-line support at Stations.
This is a full-time permanent role based in South West London. You will be working a 40-hour week on a shift pattern that includes day and night work.
